NovaVax is closer to “traditional” vaccines, but may actually work better. Doesn’t cause your cells to make the protein that your immune system then needs to fight off, just delivers dead virus via a lipid subunit that teaches your immune system what to look for and destroy upon detection. It may be better because the virus particle is closer to the actual virus size you’d encounter in the wild.
