I feel like Once Upon A Time in Hollywood was a total "screw you" to anyone who knows about the evil in that town. Romanticizing the industry while portraying Roman Polanski as some decent person. Brad Pitt's character hangs around an underage girl though he doesn't do anything to her. Either way it is still deliberately a part of the movie. Of course it was written and directed by Quentin Tarantino who's friends with Harvey Weinstein. The movie came out in 2019, a year after Weinstein was arrested too.
QT said in a radio interview that it wasn’t actually a rape what Polanski did because she “wanted it” while it’s not something he’d personally do he claim! But it was no harm no foul, he was called on this by the interviewer.
