I sat next to Congressman La Malfa on the plane ride home from DC, on Jan 7. I didn't know who he was at first, and he didn't tell me. He asked me if I was in DC for the rally the day before, I said that I was, and asked him if he was as well, and he answered vaguely that his job was "ancillary" to DC. Anyway, later in the flight we started talking about current events, and it seemed like we were in agreement about everything. After a while, I guess after he had "vetted" me, he handed me his business card and told me that he was a Congressman, and that he was one of the minority that voted with the alternate electors. He had concerns about the constant pushing of the LGBTQ/trans agenda onto society, and he felt that it wasn't safe to let his kids watch TV because of that... and that was back on Jan 7, and it has gotten soooo much worse since inauguration. He also shared my concerns about how bad the fake-news had become. I got the impression that he was a proud American, and he even made a point to get his phone out so he could show me a photo that he took of George Washington's personal flag, that he took at Mt. Vernon.
At a time when I was pretty much disgusted by everyone and everything in government, he gave me hope that there are still a few good people fighting the good fight. In the terminal after the flight I said goodbye, and told him to keep up the good work. He replied that he wasn't going to be running for re-election, and he had nothing to lose, so he would be doing anything in his power to make things right.... or something along those lines, I can't recall his exact quote. Good guy.
Great story fren. By your user name seems like you're just as disgusted as me here in Cali. Can't wait to remove Newscum.
