Agreed. The only reason I can see for an automatic transmission in a car is for terrorists to have one hand free so they can pleasure themselves as they run their innocent victims over. Having to put in the small effort of shifting your own gears manually is a small price to pay to prevent that. It's just common sense car control. No one is taking away your cars. We're just making sure they're safe for everyone.
