Put yourself in their shoes for a second. You make a movie that is secretly meant to affirm trans identify. Then you don't say shit about it for decades while tens of thousands of trans people kill themselves.
Calling them liars is the generous interpretation here. If we give them the benefit of the doubt and accept their narrative that makes them actively evil.
I’m not sure if the logic follows there. Some trans dude kills himself, and it’s now the fault of the director of a movie for not publicly stating that his 20-year-old sci-fi action movie was actually a trans-affirming metaphor? It sounds like you might have fallen for the corporate media magic spell that when trans people kill themselves, it’s because they weren’t “affirmed” or “heard”. I don’t buy that. Human beings are not “affirmed” or “heard” throughout their day, millions of times around the world, every day, for all sorts of reasons. It’s a super common experience. How many dudes out there think they are a suave ladies man, but then not every woman they meet “affirms” his self-image? If that dude kills himself because his delusions don’t match reality, is it the fault of women for not “affirming” him? Do you see what nonsense Marxist buzzwords these are?
