First of all, Happy Easter!
I decided to make this post because I've been noticing a few posts that doesn't have the appropriate flair to match the context of the post.
For example, I read and replied to someone's post a while ago, about them potentially getting the CoVID shot (or something like that) and they had a "shitpost" flair to their post. I was, of course, thrown off because I wasn't sure if it was a genuine post or a shitpost.
Then some people here mentioned there are shills here that were going around, making up stuff like, "Woe is me, look at me and listen to my sad story but hey, WWG1WGA right?" and I think I saw one of these posts. It also had a flair that didn't match the context. It was about that guy who was let go at his job due to Critical Race Theory and all that so it had a "shitpost" flair to it.
Now I just saw a post recently, talking about the military and what they could do in the near future and all that. It has a "NSFW" post. I read and re-read the post and didn't find any "NSFW" content in that post.
I don't even know if that post is actually NSFW but to me, I don't think it warrants a "NSFW" tag because it had nothing NSFW in it.
With that said, I think shills here are utilizing flairs to go with their posts, but the flairs will not match what is being said in their posts. I'm not here to make accusations that people who post on here, are lying about what's actually going on with them but I'm just pointing out that they use wrong flairs to go with their posts, which could be a clue that they're shills.
The first one about the Covid shot, I replied to her, to ask her which one was it -- a genuine story or a shitpost story, poking fun at Covid and all -- and she made an accusation that I thought she was lying but then I told her that she had a "shitpost" flair next to her post, which got me confused and she was like, "Oh I see now, OK thanks" then I went back to her post to make sure I saw that correctly and of course, that flair is gone.
So we gotta be careful with what we come across on here so stay alert and when you see a post with a flair, make sure it matches the context. If not, ask questions in relation to the flair being used and see if OP will tell you what went on. It could be a mistake (even I sometimes don't know which flair to use so I pick the closest one but I'd be fine being called out then explain my reason behind choosing the flair that didn't match) but that lady who I replied to, accused me of thinking she's lying which threw me off, because she could have simply reply back with, "Oh! I used the wrong flair, thanks for pointing that out to me and I will put up the correct flair (or remove it)".
Hope you all have a great day today!
I did comment on a new post that had the incorrect flair, that OP re-posted and apologized for deleting previous post due to the incorrect flair. So in some cases, they might have clicked the wrong one and let it ride. But I do get that foreign trolls might be adding flair to get posts noticed.
Yes I get the human error part, which is totally understandable. Funny thing is as soon as I clicked "submit post", I went to set flair for this but accidentally clicked on the "nsfw" link to make this NSFW. Luckily it didn't go through as I corrected it in time then set the flair.
But yes, when I ask someone nicely on why this is labeled as "shitpost" or whatever flair that doesn't match the context, they get defensive and insult me, rather than thanking me for pointing it out. That's what got me suspecting that the post may not be genuine at all.
