VPN that works?

For the tech Pedes, do any of the VPN's actually work? I'm thinking that once Trump's social media site is up and declass starts habbening in earnest, our ISPs will attempt to block us from sites like that and this one. I've heard some of the VPNs are BS but would any of them get around the ISPs blocking us?

Protonmail offers a good one, I check it some and it has never shown my true location. In fact I keep getting refused access because I might look like I'm in Japan or Europe...

I'm using them for email, 2 years ago or so I upgraded to a paid account with more storage (not that i need storage but got more email addresses).
