One does not simply type in a trip code. A trip code is a hash that is generated server side. This hash can be based off of any digital file, string of characters, and very notably: passwords.
The person wanting to impersonate Q would have to know exactly Q would have used as a password in order to get the same tripcode.
This is how passwords SHOULD be stored server side. That way, if a site was ever to be hacked, the attacker could not easily see all of the users plaintext passwords and use that to gain access to other sites the users may have used the same password on.
Also note, common words and common phrases are easily reversed nowadays because the hashes will always be the same when using the same algorithm. This is the reason to always choose long and complex passwords.
Try this to see it in action using a sha256 algorithm.
thanks for effort, but I'm truly a retard with this stuff so still all chinese and knowing what I/we know about black hats at NSA and other 3 letter agencies my mind immediately goes to how easily they could make these trip codes appear to be Q
how does someone with your knowledge of these things look at some random sequence of numbers, letters and characters and confirm it's got to be Q and not some NSA cabal creature creating something that looks like a code you'd expect to see? did Q forecast what the code would be ? if so, couldn't NSA cabal creature have forecasted it? really not trying to question Q or their drops, since I have full faith white hats are real, just would like to better understand and be able to explain to others how we can rely on the source of the drops
The only way to forecast what the code would be would be to know exactly the algorithm being used or to try new passwords until the result came out to be a string a characters that was desired.
Relying on the posts is having a bit of faith that they are true and looking at the some of the proofs that help assure that Q is legit.
Think of the tripcode as a "user name" which requires a password. It's about as simple as that. You can't fake a tripcode, just as someone else can't masquerade as you, here, if they don't have your password.

Could they? Sure. Nothing is 100% un-hackable.
Is this actually the case? I doubt it.

Ultimate Q Proofs +++
Could an inside person have done something, possibly, but they would have had to have connections to Trump.

I'm sure Q used a pretty sophisticated password.
