We did talk about it, but we were looking at the symbolism more as a tree of life, than a tree of death,” Martin Osborne said.
This stuck out to me as a bizarre quote, intended to send a covert message of some kind.
My thought, of course, is that this is tied to Kamala somehow. She was originally supposed to launch her presidential campaign on anti-lynching legislation, with Hussie Smollett as her example that lynching is still a problem in the U.S. Someone is expressing concerns that she is a "tree of death" rather than a "tree of life." Voting on a new mascot could be equivalent to our power brokers agreeing to change the president (a figurehead only to them, with no actual power) from Biden to Harris.
Evergreen+Washington state says this is the same group Gates is involved in. I had no idea what a political hotbed the Pacific Northwest actually was before this year. It's like Palestine ?
They changed their symbol because it might be offensive, while acknowledging that the only thing it has in common with an offensive symbol is that it's a tree? Would a palm tree be a bad choice too?
And the article wasn't published on the 1st, either, so not for the keks...
Ok what if... they needed an excuse? I looked up some images of common Oregon evergreen trees and if you were going to lynch someone those trees are a bad choice as they have branches all the way down unless someone bothered to remove them. So could the news here be getting to them, unwanted attention brought to the word evergreen? I don't really know, another far more likely explanation is lots of people in Oregon smoke too much weed.
Kek i guess trees are racist

They should more properly fear being tied to the image of Human Trafficking.
Does no one else think this is Evergreen coms in the news?
I think so.

This is downright confusing.

As far as I know, no one has every been lynched in an Evergreen tree. It would be a prickly event.
This is just dumb enough to be a skit on “Portlandia”
Trees are racist now? So what’s next? Should we cut down all the horrid racist trees because they’re offensive?
Not just a tree, an Evergreen.
