Can anyone else confirm/deny before I freak the fuck out. They think they can just erase shit?

Time to invest in a VPN.

With a good VPN you can make your IP appear to come from anywhere you wish.

i.e. try using a Canadian IP on HULU/Netflix/etc . Totally different program lineup than the USA.
