I was out and about today for work, I saw hundreds of people, and two masks. Rural Indiana largely ignored mandates, with the smaller cities mostly playing along, barely half-heartedly.
Since election time however, most everybody's been done with it. Like other places, people are tired and want normalcy. With the idiots in charge, and rhinos being outed everywhere, even fewer people have patience like before.
It's been beautiful, mid-70s, and not many people care about masks.
For myself, I talked my mother out of getting the vaccine with evidence from everywhere. My dad still wants it, but he will come around eventually.
They're flying this month for the first time in over a year, both retired. Nervous about getting covid-19, they still haven't got it, it's understandable, they're old. :-)
yeah local law enforcement mostly all said they weren't going to get involved. I suppose if some Karen got violent they would step in, lol.
Here's what I want, I want our legislation to make it so the guvnah can't ever make mask mandates ever again. Or at least do something where whatever "emergency" powers they have doesn't drag on for a freaking year.
I agree with you. Just moved here from South Dakota for work and most here are based, while some in larger liberal areas probably would whine. Only place in SD I wore a mask was Menards because they get butt hurt and doctor offices. Here Lowes is much more lax, walmart who even gives a crap and most everywhere else that's corporate you see about half and half. Great to see us doing away with it all.
Same on the legislation stepping in. I thought they had started making some bills to limit the governor’s powers since he kinda abused it in this whole thing but I’ve heard nothing on how that’s going. Most other states that removed the mask mandates their legislation also pushed bills through banning vaccine passports and future mask mandates. I’m thinking about either emailing them personally or asking my rep in the House to get busy on such bills..
