I had covid over a year ago in January. It felt just like a flu variant. But I don't recall ever having lost my sense of taste previously. That was a bit weird. Had to put chilli powder in everything and normally I hate the stuff.
It didn't kill me. (Nor did the virus.)
My wife (we share a bed) didn't get any symptoms at all.
I've read that the flu has symptoms of loss if taste and smell.
Same. Felt like the flu, then lost smell and taste.
