He still has his uses. But I'm having trouble finding them. I'm sure POTUS knows what he's doing.

If Trump has leverage over Rubio, then he is more valuable in the game than somebody new might end up being - a junior backbench Senator who can't accomplish much.

Rubio has a solid network in Florida, both from Cubans and because he was formerly FL Speaker of the House and a Jeb Bush protege.
