Well, apparently there are 7 middle-eastern countries (or were at the time I read the information) that still have independent banks. That's my guess as to how many countries.

North Korea, Syria and Iran I think are the only countries without central banks.

Which would explain why the DS running our govt have historically tried to destroy them.
