We can share smiles and a knowing wink I really want our beautiful city back, in its entirety. Fenway has no energy, downtown is as ghost town and the homeless/addict population in the South End is growing in size and violence by the day. I’ve been racking my brain on what our city needs as it’s push to call an end to this. So many travel to Florida for freedom but come back here and mask up willfully. How to WE gather together and have our voices heard. The makers, not the takers. Do we mob the MBTA like they do whole foods in CA? Do we find a row of neighborhood restaurants and all arrive at them maskless, begging their staff to join us? How can people like us gather and mobilize? I’ll join you for a mask free stroll any day. The more, the merrier.
So nice to find another person in Boston on here! I struggle with the mask thing every time I need to enter a shop. I want to be brave, but it's really difficult in this city, so I avoid the indoors as much as possible. I've had old ladies in the North End scowl at me for walking outside without a mask. I just smile. When I'm outside, I smile the whole time, especially big grins for children. I consider it a public service for these times. I see a few people walking outside maskless. Maybe we should come up with a hand signal. Haha!
