This is an unconventional WAR. Casualties will be minimized, but not totally eliminated. Fairly benign as far as wars go... get used to life during wartime.
That said, we will all be able to tell if the military has waited too long when all the rest of us start forming militias to do the work the military has failed to do. Organized militias are the next step - not actions from individuals.
