The Joint Chiefs are a service position dual hatted from the heads of the administrative chain of command. Most of them are newer so they aren't due for replacement due to retirement/resignation or screwed up enough to be fired. And just because Trump installed them, doesnt make them loyalists or Trump guys

Joint Chiefs are just a board of advisors... they have no authority to command ANY troops, by law.
