I hate to be the voice of reason here but the Lieutenant was wrong here. Period. -He didn’t pull over for quite a while until he got to a well lit gas station. Fine, especially if it’s abs unmarked car.

• a second marked car was called in and joined the stop
• he was asked several times to just turn off the engine and disembark the vehicle- he refused
• he had no visible rear plate
• when they approached the car they then again asked him several times to get out... he stated he was active military...
• the officer was also a veteran He was being a non compliant asshole— in my opinions

So just like all cops are not assholes all service members are not hero’s- period
