No doubt that those policemen were clueless as to what they were up against. They had already established how to proceed investigating an unidentifiable vehicle with an unknown number of occupants and an insubordinate driver. And, as a Veteran, it's no surprise that ButterBar would demand some kind of respect, as the ones that earn it move up quickly...
This is why when I was in, I had little to no respect for most of the Officer Corps. The patch on your chest just gives you "authority" you have to earn the respect.

when they approached the car they then again asked him several times to get out... he stated he was active military...

How about get out of your car when asked too, how about comply with orders? I've had cops draw down on me once before and I complied, I went home that night.
You be transparent with the officer and explain that you need to take your seat belt off to exit the vehicle. You keep one hand visible and slowly disengage your seat belt, but only if the officer said it was ok to do it. It also helps to be non combative with your interactions with police, so if you do need to reach inside you vehicle they don't feel threatened or possible hostility towards them. If you do all that and still get shot then the officer needs to be arrested for murder/attempted murder.

The one silver lining in all of it is that young lieutenant was handed a big fat redpill. I hope he doesn't think he was treated unfairly because of his race, instead chooses to change his shitty self-entitled attitude and see it for what it is- a fucked-up system that hates its citizens and uses police as a tool for intimidation and punishment.

If your hands are out the window while complying with an order and you put them back in the car what will the cop do?
