I hope this is all true, but one thing that gives him a bit of cred for me is I do know he’s right about the fake meat. There are essential amino acids (building blocks of proteins) meaning your body needs them but can’t produce them on it’s own. Those essential amino acids only come from animal sources. Getting protein from tofu and beans alone will never give you a complete amino acid profile, so your body will not be as healthy. Also, most people, even if they do eat meat, don’t get anywhere near enough protein as it is, so taking away what little most people get is only making things worse.
