Vaccines might cure pandemics but we acted like this was Ebola when it clearly wasn't. Trump wanted to take the vaccine card away from the Dems but by jumping in as the driving force in their quick development, throwing bushels of money at the drug companies and telling people they should take the vax because it's safe, was a bad move on his part. He takes ownership in the public's mind. He can say he was misled, that Fauci lied, etc. but the buck stops at his desk I'm sorry to say.

What we need is a deep dive into the PCR test, used to confirm the presence of the disease. If that high cycle rate was purposely done to boost numbers and inflate the seriousness of the spread, THAT could be a good exit ramp for Trump. He has to rely of people doing the right thing in testing and diagnosing people. If the numbers were cooked high enough, he could say had he known that he would never have instituted project warp speed and everything that follows. We need to concentrate on that test, the equipment, the people making it, using it, calibrating it, etc. If it presented false positives without a backup method used to confirm cases, then it is a huge key to this mess.
