I've seen both opinions among people who are awake.
By now, we've all heard the claims that COVID-19 has never been isolated (e.g., see recent lawsuit against the CDC, and also, someone contacted all of the Canadian health authorities & received emails back from each saying they don't have it).
Another argument for it being the seasonal flu: Where has the flu gone? Particularly in Sweden, which has fewer restrictions to "limit the spread of the flu, while allowing COVID-19 to spread" (which is a rather ridiculous explanation).
I've heard one explanation for this, which I don't have the medical expertise to know whether it was true. It goes like this: "there have been occasions in the past where viruses effectively turn off when another virus in the environment becomes dominant, and, these viruses sometimes never return". The implications being, COVID-19 has caused the seasonal flu to become dormant. This does not seem to be consistent with the recent lawsuit against the CDC.
The other explanation is that some, most, or all of the seasonal flu cases are being counted as COVID-19 cases, thus, inflating the number of COVID-19 cases. This scenario does not strictly rule out the possibility that both viruses exist, but, in the case that COVID-19 does indeed exist, it suggests that COVID-19 is less common than we have been led to believe by the MSM.
Taking all of this into account, and a few more points, I'm still of the belief that COVID-19 exists, but, is greatly exaggerated.
Here's two further reasons I have doubts about it not existing:
-
Believing that it is simply the seasonal flu, everywhere, would require believing that health officials and politicians world wide are all in on the cover up, at least in some capacity. I realize they are good at covering things up, and, censorship, but, the number of people who would know about the cover up would be rather large by now & it seems rather unlikely that this many people would be silenced and/or going along with this. Leaks and whistle blowers would probably be somewhat common, given the scale of this.

As I currently understand it, COVID-19 is not particularly dangerous, but, for older folks, is a bit more deadly than the seasonal flu (2-4x). Unless these numbers are inflated to that level, this implies that COVID-19 and the seasonal flu are different viruses, because, well, they have different mortality rates (at least for some age groups)
Granted, it is in the realm of possibility that I don't have all of the information, that I simply have not dug into this enough yet, or, that there simply is not enough of the information available yet.
Curious where everyone else stands on this and why.
Its just a flu many have already said that. Its influenza A and B that they are getting on their test results but forced to call it covid. By the way there is no such thing as seasonal flu. Flu is year round its just in the spring and summer most dont get it do to being in the Sun and getting plenty of vitamin D in the fall and winter no one is out that is why the flu is worse then.
In the US, your argument would hold. Why are Italy and Brazil so heavily affected by this? Their health can't be worse than ours. Granted, Italy has a higher avg age, but they're also a more robust people (the natives). I just wonder if it is a flu virus that was manipulated (Wuhan) to make it more virulent, or else reacts to 'something' that is already present in our bodies that most 1st world countries would be exposed - vaccine residue from previous vaccines? (polio, MMR, etc)? or fluoridated water? African countries have never had the big 'hit' that the scientists were expecting, and they've discounted the 'not enough testing' hypothesis.
