I don't know what to believe anymore. I felt exactly like you.. that it was just the flu, but then this week, I lost one of my dearest friends to COVID. She had just retired at 60 and brought a house at the beach with her husband. Her 7th grandchild was born 2 weeks ago that she never got to meet. She was very healthly & active, and loved by so many people, I am still in shock. Four weeks ago, she was getting pedicures with her beautiful daughters and this week, they will bury her. Just iin the last 2 months, I have seen 5 people I know die of COVID; 2 of them this week - ALL were healthy with no underlying conditions. Plus there are numerous others people I know that are ill with COVID but are recovering. It seems to be getting worse and not better. It makes me wonder why some get it with barely any symptoms, and others die from it. Tonight, I am just heartbroken over the fact that she was a casualty of war. So senseless.
Truly sorry for your loss. Your last line is telling. But I'd add "manipulated casualty" to that statement. I'm not discounting the fact that your friend most likely tested positive for Covid.
I lost a friend ten years ago to the flu, he ran marathons and would do 100 mile bike rides for giggles. He was the healthiest person I knew. He was 37 years young with no underlying conditions. It was hard for me to get over the fact that someone so healthy and relatively young could die from catching the seasonal flu (turned into pneumonia). It's interesting how influenza deaths almost disappeared during the 2020/2021 season per the CDC: https://www.cdc.gov/flu/weekly/index.htm or did they, or are they just being renamed "Covid-19"?
I personally believe that Big Pharma is dictating to hospitals and doctors - marching orders - they are playing fast and loose with most "Covid" deaths. Remember, Big Pharma hated Trump for reducing prescription prices for medications. So they had motivation to help usher in Biden into office using the pandemic as the perfect foil to Trump.

i think people are forgetting how deadly influenza can actually be
