Through some reflection and scripture reading, the Holy Spirit pressed on me the fact that I've never learned how to play chess well. I've always been a man lacking foresight, which I've come to respect that chess teaches you to sharpen. This has also helped me to view my walk as a Christian differently and to see God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit in a whole different light. I've always called God the Chessmaster and I've yet to truly dig to see even a glimpse of the necessary perfect and complete foresight He must have to do the things He does. The battle for good vs evil as Q put it isn't as simple as I've thought it. Obviously we've known it isn't simple but playing chess has given me a new appreciation in how difficult and hard this task is for Q. Furthermore how amazing God must be to be able to accomplish all He has and how perfect His plans are.
The Holy Ghost has taught me to be more single to myself and to mind my own business today.
Acts 9:15
15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:
John 21:21-22
21 Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?
22 Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.
So in light of this study of chess I've found respect in God's foresight as well as how much planning really takes.
Driving it home that I ought to relax more and trust God and Q and mind my own business and live my own life and not get too consumed with everyone else's. I gotta protect and serve adequately for my own before trying to serve elsewhere.
I pray these thoughts are Holy Spirit inspired and that God blesses everyone here in Jesus name, Amen.
Amen. Thank you for the insights.
