I loved the original Cosmos in real time. The science has moved on (being never settled, you know), but it's still great to watch. And that soundtrack! Made me love Carl Sagan.

Bought the NdGT remake when it came out sight-unseen b/c it was Cosmos!!

Well it's still mostly sight-unseen, because it had zero of the charm of the original. I don't think I made it through episode 3. Just a soulless cash grab. Not unlike Neil deGrasse Tyson himself.

Ditto. Loved Carl Sagan's presentation; I was awed. Couldn't watch ten minutes of deGrasse. He is pathetic and an imposter (i.e. makes stuff up to appear intelligent). Love Steak-umms!
