They look stupid but most stores accept them and they don’t restrict air flow (which is even stupider, based on their own logic).
Yes and no. The issue is my other coworker. I'm a new school district nurse and the other nurse is the person training me and she is super strict about all this junk. Trying not to make enemies with the person training me. She would lose her mind.

As a child, I often pondered how there could be thousands of different variants of cold viruses inside my body all at the same time. Shouldn't this overwhelm my immune system that would be incapable of creating antibodies for all these different pathogens? It just never made sense to me. And my parents could never explain away my Questions.
