Fire "season" proper is hot & windy, i.e., Santa Ana conditions. --This doesn't mean that it's wet any other time of the year, just that a fire is easier to knock down. Most of the west is dry at any given moment, and any set fire will slowly spread until put out.
Commiefornia has been on ? for 3 years now: ? in Napa, Santa Rosa, Paradise. Live in Solano county and fire have come within 2 miles of my house.
