And in public pools it's usually eye wateringly strong. I've used bleach which is 5/6% chlorine for everything from sterilising drinking water to removing mould for years. Now its hard to get just bleach here in our supermarkets - odd.

The harder chlorine molecules are working the stronger they smell.

There must've been a lot of little kids in the pool that day... Or really lazy adults.
