Here's something to consider. You can have the top end computer with the most advanced specs run a processing program compete with a computer two years out of date in figuring out an algorithm. The faster computer will shine every time in speed, but that's assuming they are running the same software. If the fast computer is filled with malware, spyware, and running crypto farming for some guy in Serbia it won't be able to compete with the slower computer strictly running the algorithm.
