No police department is ever going to say "we are ramping up to abuse our powers." The abuse of power is pretty much guaranteed by the act of granting said power. It is nice that they say it won't happen, though.

Realizing after I shared this and the dopamine wore off. This could be the introduction of military patrols in the cities. Remember. In Ontario. The military has centralized in barrie. What do you think anons? Is this a reason to start the military part of the plan?
Most of Ontario is patrolled by the OPP. So far I haven't seen anything from them.
The highways yes. They're very infrequent in the cities
Most towns less than 20,000 don't have their own police force, too expensive. The OPP are contracted for police service. Not to mention all the 400 series highways are under their watch.
In the end if the OPP are not onside, it doesn't matter what a few city PDs do.
Truthfully I think they want military takeover. They're grouping in barrie since two weeks now. With the plan to patrol or as they said "assist" in Hotspot areas. I shared this info and quickly remembered about the military waiting
