Has there been any official statement from the White House about the plywood? I haven’t seen the question asked in a Psaki press conference but maybe I missed it.

Lumber is insane right now. $7 for a 8ft 2x4. That's $5 more than the price in 2018-2019. I read it's up 250% because of Covid and a pine beetle that attacked some trees in Canada.
I have 6 projects around the house that just got back burnered because of this.
Everything is more expensive, it's inflation due to the crashing dollar. People are buying homes like crazy here in the midwest driving up the prices, artificially. Of course that's also due to the low interest on borrowing paper. The dollar is almost worthless as they continue to print more paper unabated.
Credit union here stopped offering home loans. I think they expect a hyperinflation burst soon and don't want to have new loans for a home either default as wages stagnate or suddenly be worth a weeks wages from inflation
And land, even seeking it on eBay and craigs list. Scammers everywhere
Housing is definitely on the rise in Ohio. Sheesh... homes doubling in value in 2 years.!
A sheet of OSB went from $8 to $40. Homes are still selling like mad though. I had one builder raise his prices 20k to slow down the buyers. We are finishing up a 200 home subdivision thats gone up in 3 years from roads and utilities to all homes complete. Crazy. Not even the dot com boom was like this last 3 years. I cant hire enough people. Im taking people who cant find their asses with both hands just for the warm bodies and paying them like I did my top guys 5 years ago. We are working seven 12 hour days and Im falling behind.
I’m on the fence as if the prices will ever really go down. I’ve got a couple projects too... can’t wait forever though. Those prices are terrible
