Sharing your property out of the goodness of your heart is Christian. Forcing someone else to share their property is theft and certainly not Christian. It is also worth noting that sharing your property hoping to get accolades for it is seen in the eyes of God as being as sinful as stealing. The one recorded incidence of this in the Bible, Annanias and Saphira in Acts, is given the sentence of death, immediately carried out by God Himself.
