Our God showed us by example how power is released at the beginning of His Word. At the very foundation of truth He by example “spoke” the world into existence. He later stated that the tongue is the rudder to the ship. ( The rudder controls the direction and hence the destination of the ship) He further stated that the power of life and death lies in the tongue. All through His “Word” God refers to the power we release through ours. God has given us free will. How do we use it? Which power guides our life? All power in our lives is released through our words. “Even the enemies”!! Are we giving that control to Gods truth or to the enemies lies by our confession? We live by the fruit of that decision. We are to control our tongues to be in agreement with what God says. The name it and claim it crowd believes it is our power to be used for our gain. No!! It’s our “responsibility” for us to use this knowledge for Gods purpose!! If someone misuses Gods truth, does that make His truth wrong or the person doing it? Should we, out of fear of falling into that trap, throw the baby out with the bath water? Should we not speak truth, releasing Gods power, because of that fear? “ The tongue holds the power of life and death!” Is there anything other than himself that God claims to have that type of power? How important is it then that we control how we use it. These questions and obvious answers lead me to believe that our greatest and most consequential responsibility lies in boldly speaking in alignment with Gods truth and against the enemies lies, regardless of who agrees with what we say. How about you?
