I think what the OP is getting at, is the subtle arrangement of quotes to make a point also hints at a subtle arranging to have the same "bread" come back after the "meat", however thinly sliced said meat is.

I agree that the dates don't literally align. However, I think the poetic interplay of the quotes was more of the focus (freedom/liberty vs law), and the other thing could also be interpreted more of a subtle foreshadowing (however, it is a weak relationship ... but interesting nonetheless).

Makes me want to go dig a bit on Jefferson and Cooledge (compared to Xidan or Trump) after dinner.
