Maybe it's a generational thing? I know far too many young people now days are caught up in games, their phones, social media, etc. They don't seem to get enough real world experiences to have a good grasp on what real life is like.

There will be times in life, pretty often actually, that we're in a situation we don't want to be in but deal with it because that is how life works sometimes. They have to learn that they will not always get their way in life.
