Just so everybody doesn’t get toooo excited, the highest level of courts in New York are not called Supreme Courts. They’re the Apellate Courts. This is closer to what would be district or county court in most states. Just know that this is not the highest court in New York State. It’s nearer the bottom.

Thanks. Was coming in to say this. NY is one of the few states with a naming convention opposite to that which we are accustomed.
