Our education systems have failed them. Facts aren't important, only what's popular vs unpopular. It's really just another form of tribalism and it's going to wipe our species out.

Yes, the system has failed them but a lot (a real lot) of people like being dumb, as long as you don't call it by it's real name.

It's easier and doesn't require any papers of homework assignments. "Ignorance is Bliss" got to be an old saying for a reason.
