What alternatives to these are there if any?
Pluto TV has a lot of free content, although it's mostly older movies and TV shows. Sling is like cable TV, but through the internet and a whole lot cheaper. I have extra channels (RFD and Hallmark), and it's still less than $43 per month. Amazon Prime has a lot of TV shows and movies for $13.90 a month, and you get free shipping on things you buy. YouTube has a lot of full movies and TV shows, but the movies have ads. I like to watch old "What's My Line?" shows on YouTube.
Unless I win the lottery, I won't be going back to cable or satellite again. I never had Netflix, but my wife bum's off someone else's account to watch a show once in a great while, not enough to be worth $10 or whatever it costs now.
tubi has a lot of free programs and movies
I have Hulu. May not be a great alternative, since they do have some leftie programming. Less than $15/month I get the ad-free version.
