In context, I don't think there was any doubt I was putting forth a supposition aka "a maybe".
When I quoted myself, I shortened it to "maybe" for brevity. I am fairly certain that was obvious.
When I used "I think" the first time, it was followed immediately by the qualifier "might" to indicate "maybe". When I used it to quote myself in the second post I used it in the colloquial sense of an indication of belief or statement of my truth. Again, in context they are completely different.
Please don't mischaracterize my words to prove a point. It only proves you weren't listening or are being pedantic.
