I think you are right and the press are running some crazy deflection stories today( the queens birthday in particular the 44 yr old woman intruder in Randy Andy house.( when in trouble role out the intruder Royal Rule No66?).
Picking upon the LandRover that took Philip 17 years to design in co-operation with Land Rover engineers:-
The Defender was first created in 1948. In 2014 the model was discontinued due to outdated build techniques. However, Land Rover/ British Historic Vehicle Trust have all the tooling equipment to make every part and panel ever.
His coffin was apparently too long for the SWB Land Rover. Strange that they made for years a LWB version that was perhaps 2-3 feet longer.
Were these world class engineers incapable of getting the dimensions right to place the coffin/ sheep’s clothing bag of the wolf on . Yes they were.
So their are two conclusions:-
1 Philip was an all around good guy and a bit of a joker who wanted to have some fun. ( possible but at this level of pomp and ceremony unlikely).
Or
2 There was an intervention in the funeral arrangements to cause huge embarrassment that in time will be revealed. ( looking Q-Q-Q-Quite Likely?).
