I don't wear mask for the same reason I'm not going to call you 'they' or 'them'. Your delusion is not defining my reality. Thank you.

Losing your sense of smell can be a zinc deficiency.
I was already supplementing zinc. One of my older girls was doing protocol level doses of zinc for another issue. We both lost our smell after feeling a little strange, not sick. I started smelling a burnt, metallic smell before I lost it.
Are you absorbing the zinc?
Do you all eat the same diet? Does it include...grains? Peanut butter? These things block the absorption of zinc. Low stomach acid or malabsorption in the intestines are other obstacles in the way of absorbing zinc. How much zinc do you consume daily? How much were you supplementing with? Is anyone you are talking about diabetic? Any recent history of antibiotic use?
All of these things matter when it comes to zinc and a possible deficiency.
My kid was doing 70 mg/day. I was doing 15/mg day. Yes we eat the same diet. It's important not to take your zinc supplement with dairy or calcium. I have fixed low stomach acid in the past with celery juice cleanse. I really suspect my kid has it, but she only juiced once. I've got some Betaine and need to get her in the habit of trading it before meals.
I think the zinc supplementing is what kept us from getting the traditional cold symptoms. My kid was also ding 2g/day of Vit C. We just lost smell for about 10 days and had that bad hip pain. Weird.
Interesting. Thanks for sharing.
You know what worked great for our low stomach acid?
Ox bile. Allergy research group makes a tiny little one that even my five year old can swallow with no problem.
Vitamin C is garbage unless you take the complex.

Hip pain...like in the bone?

Sounds like low Vitamin D.
I'm on the fence about whether or not a biological weapon was actually released. We had some weird symptoms and loss of smell, as well. Never had that before. Never had the fever or anything. Just a loss of smell. Our diet was high in grain though, so I suspect we were just deficient in minerals during the winter. Thanks for talking it over with me. I'm still undecided.
