if statehood for DC is pushed through, how does that reconfigure the makeup of the house? does it push through the census results (which give more seats to the republicans in growing red states)? has control of the house become more of a strategic necessity than control of the senate that can move to change the rules with a simple majority? does this particular grasp for power on the part of the dems actually result in a shift of power that is not immediately obvious?

DC Statehood. Is DC part of the constitutional US right now? Or is it a corporate entity separate from the constitutional US?
What happens if it becomes part of the constitutional US if it has not been before? Would the military not be able to be involved if DC is not foreign-owned?
Hadn't considered that. Sounds plausible.
