Iirc, people interpreted "death blossom" to mean "we're so surrounded by evil we can fire in any direction and hit a bad guy". Apparently it had something to do with a weapon in the movie The Last Starfighter. Possibly also a military / combat term. Sorry my memory is hazy on that.

We checked our ballots in Kalifornia before we sent them in and they had the poppy watermark under a black light.
