This is how you handle evidence in an active investigation. You don't remove or tamper evidence. Everything goes back like it was before with a clear chain of custody, complete with CoC signatures.

They will be delivering their findings to everyone, but this evidence will be going intact to another investigation.

The Military is the only way.
