Honestly, I think this was a really bad move. Not sure why the cops even agreed to do this. What were they thinking? Cops in uniform aiming their weapons (even if it was just tasers) at someone as part of a "prank"?

"Hey, the nation is all riled up by the media over cops shooting black people. Why not propose to my future wife while cops are aiming weapons at me,** as I dig into my pocket**. Gee, that should really make my future wife feel feelings of joy and elation right before I ask her to marry me."

I don't find it heartwarming at all. I think it was really dumb.

Everything about this is terrible. Even without current racial tension, this is dangerous for all involved.

Sorry, I am one who applauded the guy for trying to heal a country. He had to have gone to the police officers, explained his idea and even had some friends in on it. Props to this young man and good luck!
