Yep and they think they are the good guys. Existed for thousands of years and unfortunately will follow us for another thousands of years

Not sure if you have any spiritual beliefs. But in Christian eschatology we are given a breather in the Book of Revelation. The next thousand years their permanent abode will be in the lake of fire, and visible to all who pass by to view and shake their heads.
That's a somewhat comforting thought for the weary.
