Because the message of almost every one of them is God loves and fights for the righteous and hates and destroys the wicked. God created the universe, so He established the rules on how it works. He says over and over the evil people will get the consequences of their evil deeds, which is destruction. He sees what they are doing and they will be destroyed. Read the Psalms to be encouraged!!

That's a good question.... one I've been thinking about too, because the Psalms are so definitive about the destruction of those who do evil but when we look around it seems like evil people are prospering. I believe the judgment is generational and individual. I believe evil people suffer destruction in their individual lives because of the evil they do. And then there can be large scale destruction of evil people, like a whole cabal or a whole nation of evil. But it's basically a continual judgment and destruction because there is always evil. Unfortunately good people get hurt by the evil people, but God sees and works. This is a fallen, broken world, but it's not our home. We will always have to fight evil here and always have problems. But one day, we will get to go home and be free of evil.
