Americans are not happy. Some are even frustrated. A healthy percentage are flustered. A tiny percentage have protested. Ready to seize back our country? Not even close.
Life is hard, people have lives to live and bills to pay. People generally do not rise up to oppose a gradual eroding of liberty. They don't actually care if elections are stolen. Higher taxes on someone else doesn't move them. Even someone else's child getting raped and killed is only interesting and useful as it serves partisan interests.
It seems that the white hats lack the media resources to get enough mileage out of emotional manipulation. The majority of people will get close to the line as a result of all these philosophical or external issues. The push over the line seems to require economic collapse and/or severe and sudden infringement on freedom.
So, it's just not bad enough yet. Getting closer, but not there yet.
Joy. It's not real communism if it's only movie communism.
What about for those of us who are extras in the movie? It’s sure starting to feel like real communism.
Agreed. If the bad guys do retain power, this situation is really, really bad.
What about the day before Pearl Harbor? That could be today, you never know. "Scare Event Necessary?" The people are "primed" to wake up. It could be any day now. I hate the slow burn, but not as much as the DS does. HA!
Must we all be hiding in our bunkers, curled up in a fetal position, be fearful of every noise, or worse, be shooting at each other before this movie is over? I will hold strong and keep fighting, but I am afraid others will fold. God, I pray we don't get to that point.
No, morale outrage will get us to the edge, but not push us over. After that, a minor amount of economic hardship will do the trick. Humans like stability. We can be philosophically annoyed by abstract concepts, but abstractions do not disturb our stability. My guess is that the coming storm of abstractly objectionable stuff is more than enough to get us to the edge. After that, we need economic hardship similar to the US in the 70s.
If you think about it - people who are fighting to get by, but are getting by, have not experienced any major disruption yet. They drive the same car, live in the same house, shop in the same stores, etc. Without disruption of our ordinary lives, the abstract just won't do the trick.
Thank you for your insight. Most people are unaware of what's really happening cause there life is basically normal except for the face diaper, not enough "discomfort or pain" ,,,,,, Yet
We haven’t witnessed financial collapse yet. Things will probably get much, much worse.
NZ has MAJOR way to go, mostly sheep, small percent awake!
Life has been normal in Florida since LAST May. Perception is everything.
And now that most counties and cities in Florida are giving up on mask mandates Florida is going to be an example to lead the way.
