Without doxxing yourself, would you mind elaborating on your experience so we can gain some insight into what goes on in a process like this? If not that's no problem, but knowledge is a power that helps shine light on those that work in darkness.
I can try without getting too long. There are a few different paths depending on how you’re coming. If you have a good reason and something to offer it’s definitely easier and if you have any bad history i.e. (overstaying a visa or criminal record at home) it is very complicated and requires an attorney and can get expensive. I’ll put my personal way in next reply
Apply for a travel visa (if it’s required from your country of origin)costs a couple hundred bucks.
This can be tricky if you can’t show that you have any reason to go back home.
2.take a trip or two here and go back Home on time
This part has options
A. Find an employer that’s willing to sponsor a visa( if you have special skills and/or education.
B. Apply for a green card ( people say that’s hard to get approved but if you seem valuable to add to the population have some skills, education, or are at least middle class where you’re at and have a clean record everyone I know was approved.
After 5 years with a green card and you show that you can support yourself and haven’t broken any laws you can apply for citizenship.
That does not explained the unaccompanied minors.
I went through the system. It cost Around $2,000 Broken up over 5 years. We didn’t hire a lawyer to fill out the forms

Getting a green card legally marrying a US citizen is like 2 or 3 grand total including lawyer fees...
