The ruskies always knew that. Pretty much all their military hardware, from vehicles to blast doors is run mainly by hydraulics or has them as backup, as a counter for U.S's nukes or hacker attacks in the current days.

The Russians triplicate every system as the systems they have break down so often, very poor design and workmanship.
